Yellow fever vaccine
We are a registered yellow fever centre. We provide this as part of a comprehensive travel package. The cost for yellow fever vaccination and certification is £60.
Cervical screening
It is important that women aged between 25 and 65 have a cervical smear test every 3 to 5 years. A letter will be sent inviting you for a smear. Please phone reception to book an appointment with Dr O'Loughlin or Dr Warnes to have this done.
Asthma, COPD, Diabetic & Hypertension Clinics
Nurse Elaine Cunningham will send a letter inviting you to attend. Appointments can be made by telephone or at reception.
Baby vaccinations
The practice runs a baby clinic each Tuesday morning from 10.30 am - 12.00 pm. The GP, health visitor and treatment room nurse are available to immunise babies only. Any other advice required, please contact the health visitors at Kilkeel Primary Care Centre on 028 375 67835.
IUCD (Coil) and Implant fitting & advice
Treatment will be provided by any of the doctors. Dr Poots and Dr Dorman specialise in Implant insertion and Dr O’Loughlin and Dr Dorman in IUCD (coil) fitting. Appointments are available on request.
Minor surgery
Minor surgery services are provided by Dr Poots. The clinic is on alternative Thursday afternoons.
Smoking cessation
If you like help to stop smoking, you can make an appointment with our smoking cessation officer Caroline Hillen. Please contact reception if you would like to avail of this service.
